Krillion
Rarest-answer trivia. Many answers are correct — the uncommon ones sink you deeper. Play below, or open the full game on PlayDaily.
How to play
- A prompt appears. You have 25 seconds and one answer.
- Any accepted answer is “right”, but rarity decides the points.
- Each point = 10 metres of depth. A perfect Classic dive is 700 points → 7,000 m.
- A refused answer is not a penalty — you only lose the time you spent.
Example prompt: “Name a city in California.” Los Angeles barely moves you; a small, still-valid town can go much deeper.
Scoring tiers
Accepted answers land in one of six tiers (best last). Graded by how many other people would say the same thing — not by typing speed.
| Tier | Points | Depth | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plankton | 4 | 40 m | What almost everyone says |
| Too Clever | 8 | 80 m | Feels original — still crowded |
| Schooler | 16 | 160 m | Solid, not rare |
| Rare | 32 | 320 m | Few people share it |
| Deep Cut | 64 | 640 m | Specialist / edge case |
| One in a Krillion | 100 | 1,000 m | Almost nobody else gets there |
High-score tips
- Say the obvious, then bin it. Your first thought is the prototype — the crowd’s answer.
- Bin the second one too. “Clever” second thoughts are focal points; Too Clever exists for that trap.
- Change the angle. Another country, century, trade, or the smallest / oldest valid member.
- Stay inside the prompt. Obscure only pays when it is unarguably correct. A refused reach scores nothing.
Rare-answer thinking
- Categories have favourites (prototypes). Naming a bird → robin / sparrow flood the board.
- What is easy to recall feels “best”, so it is cheap (availability).
- Most of the variety lives in the long tail: many correct answers each given by almost nobody.
- After players skip the obvious, they often collide on the same “smart” answer. Go one step further out.
Speed does not add points. The clock only decides whether you answer at all.

FAQ
Is Krillion free?
Yes. Browser play, no account required for the basic dive.
Daily vs Unlimited?
Daily is one shared set. Unlimited refreshes Classic dives anytime and unlocks Endless / multiplayer on PlayDaily.
Wrong answer penalty?
Refused only. You lose the seconds you used, not a depth fine.
What does “krillion” mean?
A playful big-number pun (like zillion) mixed with krill — “one in a krillion” = vanishingly rare, from Happy Feet Two.
