Maze
Play a maze game online
Find the exit. One route through every room. No loops, no account — the board below is already open.
Corridors, not a labyrinth
A maze branches. You choose, miss, and turn back. A labyrinth in the older sense is one winding path with no forks. These boards are mazes: perfect ones, where any two rooms share exactly one route — no loops, no islands.
That is why the right-hand rule works here. Keep one hand on a wall. You will reach the exit. It will not be the short way.
How to walk
- You are the gold dot. Coral is the exit. The clock starts on the first step.
- Arrows, WASD, swipe, or a tap on an open corridor: take the whole passage and stop at the next fork. Yellow marks where you went.
- Fog lights only a lamp around you (limited vision). Dim memory stays where you have been. Taps only walk revealed tiles.
- Keys lock the exit until every diamond is collected. They sit in dead ends.
- Timed gives you sixty seconds on a 12×12. Swipe to keep rolling until a wall.
- Hint and Peek reveal a step or the whole route — that run leaves the local marks.
FAQ
Is the maze game free?
Yes. No account, no download. Times stay in this browser.
Are the mazes fair?
Yes. The play carver is a recursive backtracker. Same seed, same walls. The daily board uses the UTC date as its seed.
What does 12×12 mean?
Twelve rooms by twelve. Walls sit between rooms, so the drawing is wider than twelve tiles.
Can I print one?
Yes — the print desk draws black ink on white, with an optional answer path.
