Right-hand rule
Put one hand on a wall and keep it there. On a Maze board you will reach the exit. It is a guarantee, not a speed record — you will visit every stub along that wall.
It works because our play mazes are simply connected: no loops that strand the exit on an island. That is the perfect (tree) layout the carver builds. It is not a claim about every hedge garden on Earth.
Faster habit
Look one junction ahead. Skip short stubs you can see. Mark dead ends in your head so you do not re-enter a cleared branch. On the homepage, corridor moves already stop at forks — use that pause to choose.
Fog and keys
In fog, bumps are information. Keep the same hand. With keys, the wall follower will walk past a locked exit — come back after the last diamond.
